Default Where to find pro-quality printing?

I just got back from a trip and took a few pictures that I think are worth printing and hanging on the wall. I'm looking for a pro-quality online printer that can print large-ish prints. Something better than Costco, maybe even one that will do some balancing for printing (photos are already edited in Lightroom, but not necessarily calibrated for print). Maybe a site that sells different framing options too.

And any idea how big I can print a 6 megapixel print before it starts to look too pixelated? I've been shooting with my Nikon D3000 which is not that "hi-res" by the latest standards.

You try local printing/framing shop? The place I use encourages me to bring the image on a thumb drive and we sit and set up the print together. I get to choose the size, quality of paper/canvas etc. I used zazagallery.com once and was very satisfied. Good product for price and quick. Placed order on a Sat and received my canvas wrap on Thursday. They provide options to print what you send or you can give them latitude to make some adjustments.

Thanks for the info. I guess the next question is, does anyone know a photo printer/framer in Montreal, Canada, that they like and trust?

Mpix.com,....you'll see it recommended in all of Scott Kelby's books. I sent them test prints and was very pleased with the results.

I second Mpix. I use them for my family photos/snapshots. The nice thing is, once you've uploaded your photos and go to order, it'll say what the largest size that will print well that you can order.

I try to stay local when possible. My local printer beats most of the online prices and no shipping (at least for me). My 11x14's are $6 on metallic print. Might want to hunt down a local printer where you get to stay and and not just another print order.

Definitely recommend a local printer.

Sidenote: Your D3000 is 12mp, not 6. Assuming you shot full-res (or, better yet, raw), you should be abke to do 24x36" prints no problem.
