Man purchases DSLR and flash from Best Buy.

Man is guest at wedding.

Man doesn't turn off AF beep or flash for ceremony.

Jim, I wasn't mad as much as I was stunned that someone could be so rude to the bride, groom, and other guests. I think he may have actually been family on the groom's side, so whatever.

My beep is on, but I don't shoot in super quiet places like your example. When I did I always made sure all sounds were off. I guess I just got used to it over the years. Now the focus beep gives me some reassurance. I just wish the lighted AF confirm would light up longer.

Now when I shoot in an empty church the shutter sounds like a dropping hammer.

When I saw the first line of buying it at Best Buy I thought a better title for the thread would be

"A GEEK Tragedy...."
