Default Raw file thumbnails on Windows

Anyone ran into this?

‪How-to: View Raw Files on Windows‬‏ - YouTube

For my Vista it seems to work just fine. Although it doesn't render dng files.
Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - Microsoft Camera Codec Pack

And yes Macs have been able to do this for ever. We know.

I am using the FastPictureViewer Codec Pack and it works great with Windows 7. It will supposedly also work with Vista and XP. It allows Windows to display raw formats from more than 370 camera models as well as DNG and PSD. The only real drawback is that it costs $15, but I find the convenience to make it well worth the price.

That's awsome.... Thanks. Guess what codec I am installing tonight. One of my biggest pet peeves using raw was not being able to see thumbnails.

FYI, everyone, MS just released a free codec pack for Windows -- 32 and 64-bit systems are supported. I installed it last night on my laptop, and it worked fine for me.

I had to download the $15.00 version (link supplied by Steve above) as the Microsoft one as yet does not support the D7000 - typical Microsoft

I had it long before MS thought to release it's CODEC pack, and the CODEC available from Sony wouldn't run on 64 bit systems. Also, the MS version doesn't seem to work with DNG or PSD files, and at the time I settled for the FastPicture pack, Adobe's DNG CODEC would not run on 64 bit either.
