What do you do when you aren't unemployed??

If you're going to undercharge and they offer more, take it. If they don't, then just make sure you reap the benefits of seeing your kids.. Being unemployed isn't fun, I think if I was in your position, I'd ring around a few NY agencies and see if I can find someone who would do what you're being asked to do.. Tell them that YOU want to employ someone to do that, and ask them for a ball park figure, and then undercut them with your friends by 10%... I think NY wages are probably higher than you think..

I'm a public relations professional with a long background in journalism. I write, I pitch, I shoot. LOL. And social media is part of that equation. I am from NY so I know the kind of money to be made there, and I also know the cost of living! Have only been in Florida since 1998.Good idea on checking with NY agencies.
I have to email my friends back soon. Still chatting with friends of mine who hire people for that.
I also have a second interview next week, so I might have a job soon. I hope. But I can still do this kind of work on the side.
I'll let you know what happens.
