Default I'm proud of this! :)

My stepson has been busy proving that if you bring a child up in a creative surrounding, some of it rubs off..

EVERYTHING you see is done by him, a 12 year old boy.. He set himself up with a YouTube channel, drew the background with the Bamboo Pen touchpad he got for his birthday, filmed the following on an iPod touch, and edited it all..

Neither his mum nor I particularly like the subject matter, but he's 12, he's got all his mates running around and filming them.. I'm dead impressed!

COD has a 18 age restriction

good effort.

Gone are the days of cops and robbers with woodwork pistols. Run around my town wearing those masks with those guns and you are likely to be shot by some nervous neighbor.

Ah, the kids these days

You can't buy toy guns like that in this country. We keep our kids wrapped in cotton wool.

I am impressed. Although I never allowed any of my boys to have toy guns or weapons — I am sure they played their own version of this kind of thing at friends' homes when they were 12 also. Good job on the video!

Wow. I'm surprised that some of the countries I took to being more open about guns don't allow Nerf guns. We did our level best to keep weapons out of the house, but somehow they crept in anyway. These originally started out bright orange, but he painted them with a permanent marker and stuck camo gaffer tape on them.

What I'm impressed with the care and attention to detail he's putting into film making, he's trying to make scene changes as the music changes and so on. I wonder where this is taking him. Art college hopefully, it's a hobby I will do everything I can to encourage.

You can only (and should) guide him in that direction if he keeps showing an interest. It's a great head start in life when kids develop their interests and skill at a young age. I can tell you're the proud dad and so you should be.

Lol.. Given his creativeness, I think encouraging him isn't going to be difficult.. Posting on here was a big encouragement as you can imagine. Last night he said "I'm not going to bed tonight until I've finished.." well he did, but he's back at it today.. I am proud of him.. He's (usually) a good kid

I think this is great. Do encourage this level of creativity.

I would get him something from the Sony Vegas family. Pro which i use is way out of budget I am sure at $600 for a lark. But there is a version for about $50. The big deal? It would allow him to use lighting that is similar to HDR in the tone mapping sense. Of course there are other possibly free editing software that allows this. I just dont know which ones.

Be Proud I would be
