Default where do you go to see beatiful photos?

as title said... mostly for inspiration... where do you go where the collection of images have that 'wow' factor... is it a forum? websites? blog?

a side note, i saw 1 person comment in a critique section on lisa holloway picture that the 'sys' section is more appropriate because the picture posted in the critique is too good... is the norm thing to post a great photo in 'sys' than in critique? then i must be lurking the wrong part of the forum!

Agreed.. Flickr.. National Geographic.. just generally surfing the internet using key words on Image searches.

No.. If someone says your photo is too good for the Critique section, it only means that the person saying it can't think of a way to improve it. You won't get any useful feedback in SYS, just praise. However, in Critique, if you have a decent photo, you need to be really specific about what you want feedback on.. The better the photo, the more precise you need to be.. The people posting there are like you, some better, some worse, and if you can't find fault, then neither will they, you need to be your own harshest critique, and identify what's wrong, even if you can't identify how to fiix it.. If you're not looking for critical feedback and just want to show a damn good picture, then they're right.. You should be posting in SYS.

The reason you should only post once a day in the entire critique section is 2 fold.. One, it prevents people from flooding the section with 100 photos from their last shoot, and 2, it makes you think about what you post and why, and in the end, we can't stand there and take the pictures for you, so you need to be thinking about the stuff you're told in the critique section.. Just blindly throwing pictures there without listening to what you're told is not going to help you improve.

I think it's ridiculous to tell someone their image is too good for the critique section. If I see an image that good, I'll just say it's a great shot and I don't have any suggestions for improvement. Hopefully, someone who is more experienced can still give them tips for improvement.

Photo.net galleries and 1x.com are a couple of my favourites.
There is way too much dross to wade through on Flickr.

DK about the critique or sys sections as I don't use them.
