Default Aperature vs. Lightroom vs. ?

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum, new to digital photography. I recently purchased my first dslr, the canon t1i. I love it so far. I just put an order in for a macbook pro and was wondering what your thoughts are on post production software. With so many to choose from, it's hard to decide. I will mainly be shooting portraits, landscapes, and possibly weddings.

Any and all advice is welcome!

I prefer LR to Aperture. I've always found it runs faster and to me it feels more intuitive. I'd say download both trials once you get your computer and see what works for you and which you prefer.

i'd got with LR mainly because it's a standard in the industry and if you decide to transfer to windows in the future, the move will be much easier.

Thanks for the info! Any other recommendations other than those two are welcome also...they're just the first two that I came across.
