Ok maby this has been covered already/won't work. But today I was thinking that we should have some sort of voice chat. Think about it, right now there are 109 ppl online. If 9% of them where in chat that would be 10 ppl. Wouldn't that make things such as critiques and gear discussions so much easier?

Anyway just a thought.

I guess that'd work for people who are alone with the computers. I'm not sure my family would be too happy with me chatting aloud while they're trying to play games, watch TV, etc!

You do have I point there. I can see how this could cause problems.

Wife: Time for dinner
Husband: ok I'll be there in a sec, just let me finish chatting with someone.
Wife: ok
Husband: (wife hears from other room) yes anyway my canon is very big, yah it extends a lot too, oh got to go. We have to exchange some pic sometime.
Wife: WHAT THE **** ARE YOU DOING?

I'm a member of a couple other forums and we have a MIRC channel. no voice, but its nice to have chat anyway.

I use both Teamspeak and Ventrilo online for FPS games, and rarely run into anyone from outside the US that does not speak more than one language. At worse the person's English may not be fluent, but English speakers would need to be patient.

I find a headset with mic is not loud, or annoying to those in the room around you.imho. A stand alone mic is a different thing all together.

You could always swap Skype details if you want to have a free natter.. Personally I appreciate the ability to dip in and out of here when I'm at work. I keep the window open in the background and fill in the boxes as and when I need a break.. I wouldn't be able to chat to anyone..
