Does anyone know of an alterntive to Tin Eye?
I have an image on my Panoramio account that has shot up to almost 10K views in the last few months. It's not even a particularly stunning shot, taken with my little P&S.
Bikes. Palmerston North Speedway
Tin Eye doesn't find it, but it must be linked back from somewhere. I'm intrigued to know where all the traffic is coming from. Any thoughts?

Google has a new image search function.
You drag and drop/upload a photo, and it does a search based on the content of the image.
that might help a little.

It shows up on Google Maps, so if people search for the speedway, they might see that there's a picture there and click it.

Thanks for the tip, Jared. Sadly that did not yield any better results. It just leads straight back to my Pano pages.
Ah, well. It may have to remain a mystery.

A few of my other speedway and rugby shots at the stadium are on Google maps, but this particular one wasn't selected. Mysteriouser and mysteriouser....

This thread should had another few hundred to the count! It's weird isn't it? And so annoying, I don't like mysteries. It happened on a blog I was doing a year or so ago. I had a major spike in views and it took me a long time to track down why. I found a link had been posted in a magazine in Germany, of all places. Trouble was I couldn't decipher what they were writing about even when I ran a translate programme on it. I'm sure I'm still getting views on that particular post as it continues to climb.

Sorry, can't help you with where to look, but I'm just as much intrigued as you are. Has the speedway got a major world event coming up? Do you have any RWC games in Palmy? Maybe someone has used it to promote the area. What about John Cleese, he isn't returning by any chance? And used it on his website

Wow, Germany. The world's shrinking every day!
Yeah, we do have a couple of World Cup games - I've got my tickets .
But I wouldn't be surprised if John Cleese is behind the whole thing....
;D
