I hope someone will answer here. I wasn't sure if it would be best to ask the pros or maybe the photo-walkers or where would be the best place to post.
I have shot several of my own weddings and have been able to wear tennis shoes. I am now second shooting with another photographer and feel like I need to step up my wardrobe. He wears dress slacks, a nice button-down shirt (long-sleeved), and generally a vest when he shoots. VERY nicely dressed. I can get the clothes down, no problem. But I am having trouble finding comfortable, yet dressy/classy shoes to wear for 14-16 hours at a time. I'm looking for something with a bit of a heel or wedge (I think. I've found mine to be more comfortable and look better when I've worn them vs lower shoes I've tried). Don't mind if it's strappy or like a sandal as long as it has an ankle strap - no step ins or slides. Needs to be black, soft/rubber soled, probably prefer leather rather than man made materials. Needs to go with pants, dress, any women's outfit. I've had Clarks recommended to me, but I can't find anything I like and they all seem way too tight for my feet/toes. Nursing shoes have also been recommended, but I just don't find them attractive (although I know that shouldn't matter, it does. I *always* look at other people's feet/shoes and feel like they are an important part of the outfit and need to 'go'). Does anyone have any other recommendations for brands/styles? Links/Pics would be wonderful! TIA!! I'm next shooting with him on July 16.

Have you tried Danskos - they have alot of different styles to choose from not just the traditional clog look - though i were them to work and walk around and stand alot doing 12hr shifts I have the pro clog in deep purple - shiny enough to look good with my business type dress code. they are expensive but worth it - i also have a pair of clarks heels they arn't bad but i can only wear them about 8hrs at a time.

For a trip to Italy I bought a pair of ECCOs. I had read that Italians look down on tennis sneakers as inappropriate attire. These have been the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned.

I bought a pair of Finn Comfort shoes for my trip to Paris. The trip was before my foot surgery for Morton's neuroma so the shoe had to be VERY comfortable. I wore those shoes 14-16 hours a day. They're expensive, but were worth the money spent.

I have these in my shoes, and regardless of the make and style of shoe, my feet don't hurt after being on them for 12+ hours.

Another suggestions is Kumfs from New Zealand. I have very wide, very thick feet (thank you Dad!) and could never get shoes that I could stay in for more then an hour. Last summer I found an old fashion shoe store in Ironton, Ohio that carried this brand. They are expensive, I paid $150 for a pair of Mary Jane type shoes, but I will never forget the day at work when I was walking at the office and I was thinking, "My feet don't hurt!!" You can Google then, I think they have changed their name and it is now Ziera. Zappos sells them.

I would suggest a nice pair of slip resistant shoes. They make even some heeled ones for managers and such in the food and construction industries. There are some really cute ones out there, you just have to look. If you have to, get some insoles for them. You can try the Dr. Scholl's thing at Wal-Mart, if need be. These top two are different, the link just reads the same.
