Same here, Kumfs have removeable orthotics in them, so it helps with arch support also. All of their shoes seem to have wide toe boxes which I need. My only complaint is that they don't make any thing with heels higher than 1 inch. But that's not the aim of the company, they make shoes that are kind to your feet. Good luck.

Thank you all for your (mostly helpful :-P) input! I found several styles I like online that I think will work for me. Now I am trying to find somewhere that sells several of the brands so I can try some on before making a big plunge.

You have done well for answers here! I was expecting a giggle as those mischievous members found the most ridiculous shoe on the web - but no. What is going on?!
For what it is worth, my 'comfy shoes' have been Geox the past couple of years. Not seen this seasons yet, but I feel comfortable and fashionable the Geox I have. These look good for crowd control though:
