If you have kids...... Worry about safety on photography any sites? Come here and read the story first

Here is a small story to let you rethink:

What if they have did take a picture of without any blurry background anywhere outside then you know what is the safety thing to keep kids safe to use blurry background only and a very clear picture without blurry in middle so they way people will go unnoticed where is the place is... If you did not blurry background then you did not go safety than sorry... I am just want to make a great point to you to make you rethink about the safety than been a sorry... Do you want keep your kids go safety with blurry background? Just let you rethink....

I am just wonder to keep your kids safe on any sites than be sorry without blurry background....

I'm not sure how a blurry background will keep my kids safe. If someone sees a photo of my kids online and want to figure out where they are, there are a lot better ways to go about it than to try to piece that together from the background of a photo. And if the background is recognizable enough that someone could deduce where they are from the photo, then it's either a popular, public location that I don't go to often, and therefore unlikely to put my kids in danger, or it's a someplace local and the person interested in finding my kids is familiar with the area. If the latter case, then my kids are already in danger because of their proximity to such a person and not necessarily because I posted a photo of them online.

More importantly, nearly 90% of all crimes committed against children are committed by people they know. Of those that are committed by strangers, nearly all of them are crimes of convenience (i.e. they picked a kid who looked like an easy target). If you're worried about your children becoming victims of a crime, posting photos online is a relatively safe activity compared to sending them to school, church, or the playground.

True...the real danger comes from those whom you know.

Ummm.. I'm feeling very left out here.. I read all the words, they appeared to be in English, but I've no idea what they meant in the order they were written. Some of you seem to have understood.. Would someone please enlighten me?

If you don't blur the background out of photos with your children in them, the boogie man will find and take your kids by identifying where the image was taken.

Ah.. Ok.. Does he give them back again or does he keep them? Mines been in a bad mood for a couple of days, so I'm just wondering if he'd take mine for a time out break..

Personally I like portraits with short depth of field because it makes the background less distracting from the subject.. Hadn't occurred to me that I was protecting the subject at the same time.. Maybe I should include protection money in my fees?

Sell it like a feature or upgrade for an additional fee... I mean who wouldn't pay a few more dollars to protect their loved ones from predators...do it for the children...

Personally I don't think blurry backgrounds do ANYTHING to protect kids, in fact it's almost nonsense to even suggest such a thing.

I will say this though (and I've said it before). Many people use their name as their photography business and many people post pictures of their kids. It only takes a few google searches to pinpoint the location right down to the home street address. In fact I've done it before just to prove it is as simple as that.

Pedophiles are sick f*cks and no matter how safe your town is... it's pretty much guaranteed there will be a few living near you, check the sex offender registry, very scary!

My niece is an adult now but when she was a child and lived with me I NEVER would have posted a picture of her on an open forum like this or flickr. When she was a teenager she wasn't allowed any Facebook or MySpace friends that weren't her REAL LIFE friends and she wasn't allowed to post her "location" in her profile, not even her school name. I monitored her like an "Information Nazi".

That may sound paranoid but truth be told.... strangers no longer need to hide in the bushes to stalk your kids... the Internet makes it much easier to do in stealth mode.

Just something to think about
