I saw today's WTD and just cracked up! Thought I'd share it here.

Flickr was built in this fashion so you can have your images used on other sites with a small connection to your portfolio. For the most part, the comic is very truthful.

Me too...
At the request of our local paper's editor, two years back I wrote an article for our EAA Young Eagles event, and took pictures. This was before I was shown the way to the light at DPS. I submitted my article and photos. They printed my column (yes, a full column, not three lines under a photo) and two pictures. The credit? "Staff Writer". WTF? He asked me last week to take some pictures of a work related event, he had written the article but they were being "furloughed" and he couldn't send a photographer. I took the photos, and sent them in with the caveat he could only publish them with credit to me. I think he dropped the whole article, I haven't seen it, but it's only a Wednesday/Friday paper so there's still hope. I know they aren't going to pay for this type of thing, but from now on I at least getting credit.
