Default What's in your bag

I know this has probably been asked like a million times, but I am genuinely interested to find out what kit you all carry in your bags.

I'm growing up in the photoworld, and enjoy hearing what others in the same school are doing.

I'm offering up :

D5000
Prime 24/35/50mm
55-70mm zoom
SB600

I'm kinda wondering if I should be carrying anything else ?

Default backpack

in the photo tour backpack (what I carry around every day...)

Nikon D90 (with 2 battery grip)
24 x 8GB memory cards
SB600 and Diffuser
Nikkor 18-105mm
Tokina 11-16mm
Tokina 35mm prime (Macro)
Sigma 120-300mm
ND and polarizers for all lenses
Spare camera strap
cleaning kit
Small Manfroto ball head
Nodal Ninja
Manfroto tripod
Misc tool kit
First aid kit
Business cards
Release Forms
Note pad and pens
White balance color cards (2)
Water Bottle
Power bar or two

All of this ends up weighing around 60 pounds or so. I hike around with this every day doing photo tours for tourists. I keep thinking of trying to pare it down a bit, but every time I think of something to remove, I end up using it the next day. *sigh*

wow, ok i'm like so out gunned but for me, an extreme novice, this is what i carry in my lowepro sling bag:

canon XTI with tripod shoe
canon 50mm 1.8
tamron 18-200mm with uv filter and hood
canon 420ex speedlight with difuser
spare batteries for speedlight
battery charger
cf card reader
media cable
camera manual
and a recent addition, a hurricane double valve blower.

on the outside of the bag:
my hat when i'm shooting
and a monopod strapped to the side

my tripod stays in the car just in case but thats my little bags worth. i'm going to be removing some of the cords and manuals and maybe get a 24mm prime or sigma 18-55mm 2.8.

Hmmm.. Depends what my purpose for travelling with a camera is..

I regularly walk about with a D7000 and 16-85 VRii, 32gb and 16gb cards, spare battery, 6stop B&W ND filter, CPL, Various ND Grads, remote shutter trigger.

In addition I have Tokina 12-24, Nikkor 35 f/1.8, Nikkor 60 f2.8 micro, Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 VRii, Nikkor f/70-300 4.5-5.6 VR, an SB800, another Youngnou YN-560 (relegated to second speedlight since I got the SB800) Various radio flash triggers. Manfrotto tripod, a couple of small reflective flash brollys and a couple of cheap tripods.

Then there's my Minolta 8000si Film camera and various associated lenses.

My god.. No wonder my wife is complaining about the amount of room I take!
