Default Instant Cameras

Do you use an instant camera or does the price of film put you off ?

Which model do you recommend and why ?

I'm not willing to make any absolutist statement like you, but I'd wager that you've clearly not seen some of the work done by Polaroid enthusiasts. Your blunt statement of fact wouldn't have come out so quickly.
HERE (all Polas by Moneal are great)

And that took me 2 min. from my contacts, god only knows how much other good stuff is out there taken by such low quality cameras.
Clearly, it's an issue of what you do with it and whether you know what you're doing.
I'm getting an instand back for my new Diana F+, which makes it an instant, and I'm pretty sure I'll take some kick-ass images. We'll see though. I'll post here to back up my sh!t talk.

Any old polaroid, like the 680 is a good model. I'm curious as to how the new polaroids coming (or already) out are in terms of this sort of vintage look/feel to their images. I'd consider getting a Diana F+ with an instant back. It'll run you nearly 200usd, but sooo much fun!

So lets not make bold absolutist statements without thinking it through, yeah?

Ha ha.. Blunt as usual BF..

I have to say, the quality of polaroid camera pictures is bad compared to DSLR's.. But that's the charm.. Who'd want to live in a run down country cottage when you can live in a sparkling new penthouse flat? Umm.. ME! Same goes for Polaroids.. If you're looking for DSLR quality photos, you're going to be disappointed, but if you're looking for something unique and different and are willing to work within the limitations of the camera to get it, then this is the baby.

I haven't had any experience with Polaroids for well over 20 years.. But what I have seen of other peoples work leaves me to admire their work.

I always believe that if you gave Monet a painter and decorators paintbrush, he'd still create masterpieces.. You give me his paintbrush, and I'll still create rubbish. Same with cameras.. Give a real artist a Polaroid and they'll produce something really cool.. Give it to me, and I'll produce a load of crap.
