Default July 4th. How to shoot Fireworks.

I'm surprised that no one has brought this up yet here. So,..for all the newbies in the US or anyone else who cares to know,..I have taken the liberty ( ha ha liberty. get it? oh nevermind ) to pull together the threads that tell you how to do it. ( I'm so excited to use my DLSR for this. I have fireworks shots, but they were with a P&S. I've been waiting all year to do this. )

As this was pretty much exactly what I was looking for. For once the search feature worked properly. Thanks for doing the legwork Nicole, made this so much easier,..lol

Photographing Fireworks

Ok, so my work was pretty much copied from Nicole's paper, but do I still get an "A" for effort? This just hasn't been presented in GCC yet.

I shoot mine the same way I shoot star trails.

shoot manual
Stop down past f11
bulb shutter setting - adjust as needed.

and naturally all the no brainers like a tripod.
