Default stuck memory card

My memory card is stuck in the camera, what should I do? At first it said the memory card is damaged, but now it is taking pics. Should I just leave it there (as opposed to taking it to a camera shop) or am I doomed??

I had one get stuck in my XS once. I used a ball point pen to push the card in a little more than I normally could and it released. This is assuming you have a push release type card lock. You will be able to hear it when it releases. Let me know if this works.

I'm afraid to touch it, but will try that, thanks!

Hmm, tried the pen thing, but that's not working.

I think that card is then trapped there until you are willing to take it to a shop. I think something came loose so I would not mess with it too much more. Because you might get the card out but not be able to put one back in.
