Default God I hate being a perfectionist.

My wife "volunteered" me to create a website for the circus school she volunteers at because I have reasonable coding skills.

I'm not a PHP guru by any stretch of the imagination.. And thinking she just meant one or two pages, I started down the lines of creating the site in pure HTML with a wee bit of SSI logic and some JQuery to help things along the way.. BIG mistake.. Because the one or two pages has evolved in to more than one or two, and it would nhave taken a lot less work to have coded this dynamically.

Anyhow, that's meant I haven't been able to get out photographing much recently, except for the photos you see on the site.. One "small" change requested from my wife is an hours worth of coding.

So.. What do you think of the overall site? Anything that doesn't work the way you expect it to? (It's going live tomorrow!)

I know what you mean? I get volunteered by my wife to take pictures for her company's website. This weekend I shot them participating in a local parade. OHHHHH Joy!

When I view the site in IE, it looks fine, but when I used Firefox, the links that were going across the screen were arranged vertically instead and they were not justified, so it looked messy. Also, the text that said, "Association des Z'amis du cirque" was hard to read. Didn't try Chrome...

Seems to be working fine, except for the spelling.

Btw, I think it's better to embedd a Google maps map with a zoom slider than a single jpeg showing the location.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I viewed it in Opera, here's a screenshot:

It looks pretty good to me, but when you said circus, I thought clowns and big floppy shoes! I forgot about the site, and got fascinated with the images! I'm in love with image 34 of 49!. What was your question again?

Damn.. Why can't the bloody browsers interpret CSS and HTML the same way?? Oh well, looks like I've got some browser specific coding to get in place..

Thanks

For the love of god, please don't use Comic Sans. I beg you.

That aside, it seems to function properly, but I'm using my work's IE7, so I can't test in Chrome/Firefox.
