Exclamation Creating A Website?

Hi there,
I want to create my own photography website to show my pics and just to show around what I can do and that.

What website creator would you recommend to use?

It has to be completely free aswell, as don't want to pay for a website at the minute

Thanks
Lauren

If it's just for showing off your photography, why don't you just use your Flickr account?

Hi, I already have a Flickr account, this will also be for actually having prices of my photographs on and for posting the website on Twitter and my Facebook.

P.S: Your pics on Flickr are amazing !

Free?? Notepad, but you'll still have to pay for hosting most likely...or perhaps wordpress.com

Creating a website using wordpress is quite easy but there are some barriers to go through and you have to pay for hosting every month. Using Yola or Weebly means that you can buy a domain name, use their drag and drop design interface and you don't have to pay for hosting (just the domain name). These two are very easy to use and I'm pretty sure that they have templates that will look good for showing off photos.

Wordpress is better for a long term, professional solution but takes a little time to get used to it.

wordpress.com = free wordpress hosting,

yola and weebly, read & understand the terms very carefully, and they will also have advertising on your site...bottom line is you'll get what you pay for

try wix.com
but as perviously mentioned - you'll have to pay for a domain & hosting.

just started playing around with Wordpress for a personal project and love it! If I was just starting a website from scratch right now I would use wordpress.com. And as Buddha has already mentioned, it is totally free. You would end up with a site address: yourname.wordpress.com and if after time you want to change and have your own domain name you can always upgrade your account.

If you want to have your own domain name then you have to pay for hosting with wordpress.org. Having yourname.wordpress.com is free. Yola is one of the better ones, it doesn't have advertising but a link at the bottom of the page and is very easy to use.
