Hi all,
I am relatively new to the forum, so appologies if this has been asked before....... I need advice as to which Flash gun would be best suited to my photographic & camera needs.... I will mainly taking photo's in an indoor setting. I breed & show pedigree dogs & cats, so want to take there pics....Most of the dog shows are outdoors on sunny days so not a problem. The cat shows are normally held in sports halls, the lighting turns my pics a strange orange/yellow colour..... My camera is Canon EOS 550d i need guidence towards a decent flash unit for it. Thanks in advance Gail UK |

A flash won't fix the orange/yellow thing. Proper white balancing will: try using the Tungsten preset.
I'm not sure that on-camera flash is going to help you much, but if you're bound and determined to get a flash, I'd recommend that if you can afford it, get a 580EX II: most options, most features, most power, most easily usable both on and off camera, and it can do eTTL. If you can't afford it, then a 430EX II, or a used 580EX or 550EX.
