Default Good idea? Or totally Bad?

I try really hard to get pics of the whole family, myself included. It is just hard being in front of the camera not knowing what everyone else is doing before you click that button. It is almost impossible to direct the photoshoot from this perspective especially when children are involved.
So I was thinking of asking another local photographer to trade family portraits for family portraits, straight up even trade. I do a photo session for her. She does one for me. We either trade disks or give an equal amount in print credit. No money exchanged.
I cannot see any problems with this as long as I partner with a photographer who has a similar vision and business plan to me. but I am sure that I am not thinking of something. What do you think? Good idea or bad idea? And why?

This is a pretty common practice. On another board I'm on, there's actually an entire thread dedicated to it and photographers that are close by just get in touch with each other.

What's wrong with Mirrors?? Stick one behind the camera, stick it on live view.. And pray!
