Default Fires

Havent been on here much. Been on the road doing shows BUT been watching the fires burn around my lil town. We are on a 2 hour evacuation notice. Pretty scary
Here's what I see out my front door. Had to stich 3 photos together to get the whole thing in and thats not even all of. The fire is also burning on the other side of the mountain.

Amazing some parts of the country are being flooded and others are in such a drought that they are dealing with wildfires so huge

I thought about you when they started reporting on this fire yesterday. I'm on the other side of it in Albuquerque. We seem to be surrounded by fires here (Wallow in Arizona, Raton and also now Carlsbad, NM) but thankfully far enough away that we do not have to worry about evacuations, just the smoke that is hanging around and the ash we find on our cars.

Saw last night where the Track Fire had crossed over into Colorado, and this morning where they said it was threatening the town of Raton. We always stop in Raton to eat on our way to and from Denver, as it's a good half way point, stop and stretch for us.

Stay safe -

Nora

Apparently the smoke from these fires is reaching Iowa? I was just in that area about a week and a half ago. Smoke was starting to roll into the ABQ valley making it tough to breathe already when I was leaving. Fires terrify me (long story).

Stay safe

It does, but to be honest, I am sick of taking them. 3 weeks worth of fires. They are looking the same now

Get your butt up there on the fire line with those fighting the fires......makes for better pictures than those pretty ones taken far away!
