Default Photo Distortion Issues

Hello Everyone,

For some reason, whenever I upload photos from my camera to my computer they end up distorted and I cannot figure out why. I've sent my camera back to Fuji and they said it was a memory card issue and that I need to format them. I have and the problem persists.

Is there something wrong with my camera or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

ETA: I'm using a Fuji Finepix S2500HD

does it happen with all of your cards?
how are you uploading the cards, from an internal or external card reader..try another reader..

Try a different camera with the same memory card. Go into a store and tell them you're interested in buying a Fuji Finepix S2500HD and you want to take a few photos to compare.. Most camera shops will allow you to do this so they can make a sale.. Then, once armed with a selection of photos from the same model camera, try uploading them to your computer in the same way.. If they get chewed up, you know it's your card/reader/computer, not the camera.

I hade an issue a while ago where I was trying to load photos from an SDHC card, but my card reader wasn't SDHC compliant.. $7 for a new one and everythign worked like a charm.

Always format your cards in the camera. camera manufacturers have different ways of formatting and by doing it from the computer MAY cause just this kind of issue. It happened with my Fuji.

get a card reader and download your images from one of those instead of the camera. You also have to reformat the card after downloading.
