Sooo.. Which would you put in this shoot out from Tokina and Nikon then?

I would have put both of them in. To be fair the Tokina engineers started from the Nikon group and spun off to do zooms. They have since pared down their focus to short to mid focal lengths. The Tokina has gotten very good reviews from the Nikonians group and even though they bleed Nikon they do a pretty fair job at being objective and they think the Tokina is a very good lens and a great price.

Can't beat the Pentax 100mm f/2.8 WR with its weather sealing and curved aperture blades for perfectly round bokeh throughout the aperture range.
