I like Practical Photoragraphy from the UK...pretty cool magazine. A little bit expensive, but very informative for me.

Popular Photography, Outdoor Photographer, American Photo. I'd love to find better ones. Pop Photo is overwhelming with its adds and American Photo is too light. Both, however, are great on price...$12 a year (or better if you find a good deal).

I subscribe to Popular Photography. It it a little heavy on the ads, but there is some good info in there.

I also have a subscription to Rangefinder magazine, and I absolutely love it! Great articles, and the photos are very inspiring.

Lenswork.
Not full of tech stuff. Not full of ads.
But it is full of what photography is about.
As of the next issue, it will not be available on newsstands, but will be subscription only.
The Lenswork website has a lot of great online content. The magazine is B/W. Lenswork Estended is a monthly DVD full of PDF versions of the magazine and lots of other content: lots of audio and video interviews with the photographers and Brooks Jensen's podcasts. Highly recommended.

One thing I recently learned about magazines... and how they are priced...
the less they cost... the more ads they will contain
the higher the price... the less ad content.

I guess it makes sense, but I hadn't really thought about it before. The cheaper mags can still contain good information, but may be packed with ads. The more expensive ones have to be more expensive as they don't contain the same number of ads.

i'm currently a subscriber to digital photographer philippines, the local edition of the popular uk magazine title. i must say that it's one of the most informative mags that i've come across - plus since its a local publication, it comes out cheaper than the uk version.

i also came across digital slr photographer during one of my travels. unfortunately, it's not locally distributed and so i ask my friends who are going out of the country to pick me up an issue.

another recent find of mine is photo plus, a title that, based on the cover, is dedicated to canon photogs. most of its content is instructional, and it doesn't have a "classified ads" section, as what i've seen other mags have.

I spend about 2 hours of my day commuting and I'm too lazy to read. So what I do is to listen to photography podcasts all the time

My favorites are:
