Thumbs up Really need your help right now!

Hi everyone!

I have a tough question and need a good answer from all of u there. Sorry for my poor English.

I will buy a DSLR and I am very confused about this and I have three choices canon 600D, Nikon D90 and Nikon D5100? Which one is better for the beginner user like me?

I am closer to choose Nikon d5100 but I read the dpreview review and I learnt there are some problems with photos mode compare to the rivals such as canon 600D.

For your information, I’m more attracting about photo results rather than video mode. I have made a lot of research both types but still cannot make a correct decision. (Maybe to caution. Lack of knowledge also-still new ya!)haha…

Can you help me which is better and also if you have any other suggestion please let me know.
Really need your help, knowledge and kindness. thanks in advance... tQ

I dont know anything at all about those cameras in perticular, but generally speaking, its the lens thats going to give you the image quality your looking for, not so much the camera.

The cameras all have different features that may or may not be important to you. My advice is to ignore what anyone has to say about the images and focus on the features. Some people might say one has "problems" or one is "better", but unless these "problems" are huge, it isnt going to make any real difference to a beginner.

Focus on things like shutter speed, ISO performance, off camera flash options, Articulating screen (which is handier than you'll ever imagine) and how it feels when you hold it. Are the buttons and dials handy and in reach? does it feel clumsy? These are things that will make more of a difference because I'll tell you now that canon and nikon make pretty much equally good cameras.

I'd get whichever one has an articulating screen, but its up to you and what/how you shoot.

Another thing to remember when you buy this camera is which ever you decide, nikon or canon, your going to be marrying. Once you go with either brand, you'll be investing in the company for all your upgrades as the upgrades are expensive and only work with wichever brand they belong to. So there is no going back once you decide. This is why its important to like the cameras 'feel' because if you dont, then you upgrade later, you probably wont like the feel of the upgrade either, but you'll be stuck because you already spent 2000 bucks on lenses that only work with that brand.

I can guarantee you this though, you will never ever look at an image and say "damn, this would have looked so much better if I would have bought that other brand." Your images will look good or not depending on YOU, not your equipment.
