So, you've been out and taken some good shots. You've selected the best ones and maybe tweaked them a little, then you upload them to flickr, tag them and add descriptions where they sit for a long time gathering virtual dust along with the occaisional view and if you're lucky the odd comment or favourite. Is that it?
Now I suppose this comes down to your motivation for taking shots in the first place. Mine isn't to sell them, although that would be nice. I am motivated by learning and developing my skills and taking shots I'm proud of. I enjoy wondering down the beach at 7 in the morning looking for new shots so what I do with my photos is maybe not that important if the process of capturing them makes me happy. But, sometimes I wonder if I'm not wasting my time uploading them to flickr and leaving them there. What do you do with your photos? Is there something I'm missing that I should be doing instead?

The first time you see one of your favorites on a 16x24 you will think it is awesome - I did

I take them. After that, I file them. Maybe I'll go back and look at them later, maybe I won't. I almost never print them, I almost never post them, I almost never share them. I usually don't post-process them, except when I'm playing with post-processing. There's nothing wrong with taking pictures for the sake of taking pictures. It's like catch-and-release fishing. And it's a lot cheaper these days than back when you had to buy the film and pay for processing, then figure out what to do with the negatives and prints. |

I mostly delete mine, cause they're not worth keeping...some people worry about how many shutter releases they can get before it dies, I worry about how many times I hit the delete button

Some I keep digitally, others I print and either hang in my home or give as gifts. Others I sell. :-)
