Default Canon DPP

Ok folks, I've read the manual and been trying myself but just can't get it to work. There is a function to use a brush to rid the image of unwanted items. I can make the changes I want, but there is no "save" button. When I go back to finish the post production, the original image returns with all the distracting items I removed. I can't get to the "save recipe" area from the work screen. Anyone out there utilizing Canon DPP software able to help? I'm not ready to sink the $$ into Photoshop or other editing software...yet.

I know this is not right fix but you can exporting the picture after you have made changes to JPEG and see if that will have all your changes.

The only time I get prompted to save is when I'm exiting the program. So, you can save that way, but I'll have to look for the "real" way when I get home. Like buzzrk said, I usually make my edits and Convert and Save as a jpg.
