Default photo books

hi, im very new to photography and the different photo labs. i recently took some photos of a friend of mine and she wants a photo book. im looking for a lab that does the photo books with the lay flat pages...but i want the thick hard pages..not just on reg semi gloss paper. i dont know what kind of paper it is...all i know is they are thick, very nice but yet not the same type paper you would find in an "album"....it's like the pressed pages for trader cards....what lab does these at a good price?
Thanks a lot!!

I really like Miller's Layflat Press books. This is what I offer as my wedding albums. Here's a link to a video discussing them: Sara Kauss talks LayFlat Press Books

The album pages that you are talking about come in two types. Some companies use card stock to make these pages. The prints are simply glued to the pages. This is an easy (and cheap) way to make the albums, but they don't last long. The pages warp when the humidity level changes. If you want an album that does not warp try a higher end company like: Flush mount abums and custom wedding albums for professional photographers.

I've used WHCC a lot for different photo books. I get lay-flat every time.

Also, Pictage is another place I use.
