Default Polaroid, or Rangefinder?

Okay, so this is kind of an odd question, but: Would you rather have an old Polaroid, or a Rangefinder (not Leica)?

The reason I ask is because I'm torn on what to get. I was browsing on ebay for a couple of days looking for an inexpensive rangefinder (like the Yashica electro 35, or Canon Canonet), when I stumbled upon a Polaroid SX-70. I love the look of the Polaroid, and I think it would be a ton a fun to play with. But I'm not sure if it would be worth it over the rangefinder. They're both pretty cheap, about $50, but right now I don't have the money for both. If I went with the Polaroid, I'd have to get film from The Impossible Project, and I've heard that it's not very good, not to mention expensive. But it seems like it would be so much fun... I don't know. What do you guys think?

you could have alot of fun with the poloroid camera, but you should be able to find film for it on ebay. you can find pretty much anything on there so id figure you'd find some.

here is one that comes with film.

I think you might still be able to get polaroid sx-70 blend film. (it`s not the original and unfortunately doesn`t work as well for polaroid manipulations)

All in all, polaroid film is pretty expensive, I have some film for mine left - but not much - it`s probably not so great anymore... kinda a bummer

I wrote a bit about my venture into polaroid shooting on my blog here

M.e. Photography: Polaroid Colorpack II and Fuji Instant Film

I picked up a cheap polaroid colorpack ii, which is a polaroid as well as a rangefinder. It takes cheap peel apart fuji fp-100 or fp-3000 instant film (polaroid sold them the recipe when they stopped making it) for about $9 for 10 shots. Its affordable and fun.
