Default Flickr Pro vs Smugmug Basic

Well, I have a Flickr account, non-pro. I like it, but it is also a little too simplistic for my needs. Plus I need more space. I was thinking of getting Pro, when I came across SmugMug.

Right now, it is Flickr Pro for me. Does anyone have Smugmug and/or Flickr Pro? What do you like about each?

Also, I tried the Smugmug trial with limited features and I really wasn't impressed very much.

Firstly I have never used SmugMug but have heard great things about it , their pro tier is $150 a year , the basic is $40..... pro Flickr is $25 a year, for me I thought SmugMug was a bit different than Flickr in that you can create your own personalized site with SmugMug.

Flickr Pro has unlimited uploads , to me they offer different things.

If you think Flickr is too simplistic, you probably won't be happy with the paid version. It's exactly the same thing with unlimited uploads, more folders to organize your stuff, webstats, and no ads. At $25/year it's not a bad deal for online storage, but if you're looking for something a little more sophisticated, you should look elsewhere. Or, you could do Flickr Pro, and something else. There's no reason you can't use Flickr and SmugMug.

I like Flickr because there's a few tools out there to link your photos into your website automagically, which means upload once, see it twice.

Yeah, I really like that.

I chose and bought Flickr Pro. Although still simple, it is also easier that way.
