Default Picasa & RAW

Okay, I am of course fairly new to any type of post processing and being on the poor side financially I am always looking for cheap (free) ways of "shopping" my photos.

I have Picasa 3 and love it but I am just now beginning to shoot manually and in the RAW format..and love how much easier it is to manipulate the image than as a jpeg.

My question is...how do I convert to jpeg from RAW in Picasa?

From what I understand, if you click on your folder of RAW images and then hit Export, Picasa will automatically give you a new folder of jpegs.

You dont even have to go that far, if you dont want to. All you have to do is make your edits, then go to File> Save a copy. This will save you a copy in jpeg, but keep the original RAW file so that you still have the original and can take off the edits and try new ones if you want. Also,..if you want to resize your photos so that you can upload them to Flickr and Facebook a lot faster, I'd suggest downloading Pixresizer. Its free, and will make a new file of the photo, so you dont lose the original.

You can use Saralondes thing if you want to convert all of them to jpeg at one time. Mine is for one photo at a time.
