I looked at a bunch of these package deals and passed on all of them.
Be sure they are nikon US, and not grey market as most of them seem to be. Maybe price these items at bh and see what the difference is. I personally bought the d7000 locally and it was cheaper than Costco .

Well let's put it this way.. You probably couldn't by all that stuff separately for that price. Apart from the 70-300, the rest is rubbish and I wouldn't buy it anyway, the 70-300 looks like the old version without VR, so isn't partcularly good either. Depends what level of photography your friend is at, but if I was going to splash out on a D7000 (And I have one) I wouldn't mess it by using cheap glass. If this was a D3100, and your friends a beginner, I'd probably say "go for it" but this isn't a beginners camera.. Get some decent glass that will outlast the camera body.. I picked up a D7000 with 16-85 vr2 lens and 70-300 vr for the equivalent of $2100 (Things are more expensive over here) and won't be buying replacements for them any time soon.. My bet is that if your friend is likely to want to change ALL of these lenses in the near future.

Unofficially imported goods, which the manufacturer will not honour warranties on.

Why do they have a white lens on a Nikon? White lens are typically Canon L lens.
Here's some more info for you: Brooklyn Camera/Electronic Dealer StoreFronts Cell Time Corp. Cell Time Corp, Battery4sale.com I personally wouldn't trust the company. Almost anyone can get listed on Amazon.

Just remember.. More does NOT equate better.. More equates more profit for the seller.
Buy the D3100, D5100 or D7000 body only, on line, from someone who advertises themselves as an official Nikon Dealer in your country.. They need to have the yellow and black Nikon Logo. What this means is that you will get a 2 or 3 year guarantee for all the parts, and if adjustments need to be made, then they will do so. My camera needed adjustment within a month of getting it, they fixed it in less than 1 week with no quibble for free. If you have a non-authorised dealer, they're probably importing it from the far east, and the Nikon guarantee will be valid in the country of origin. (Grey market) Your post showed that they have their own guarantee.. What this means is that they register your product in the country of origin, you return it to them, they send it to Japan or wherever, it gets fixed, then it makes its way eventually back to you.. This could take 8 weeks or more. NonGrey market goods are worth the extra money. Your friend is a beginner, so the D7000 is overkill, the D3100 or the D5100 is sufficient, spend the extra money eft over on getting decent lenses, The Nikkor 16-85 VR2 lens and the Nikkor 70-300 VR are good lenses, and worth the outlay. If they find them as a kit, they will save a bit of money.. Buy decent glass and a mid range camera rather than a top of the range camera and rubbish glass. Get the other bits advertised as your friend feels the need.. I doubt they will want all that, it's all cheap rubbish that sells for $1 or $2 on Fleabay. Seriously, buy anything else that you see there separately.. You'll end up with fewer things you don't use. There's nothing wrong with Grey market goods, they're still Nikon, they just don't have the Nikon guarantee.. That lasts 2 years on the camera body and 3 on the lenses.. Worth the extra.

I would say watch out for that, most of those "lenses" are some kind of generic thing so the quality wouldn't be there. Maybe see if you friend can get the body and something like a 24-70mm (sigma?) and 70-300mm for the same kind of money. No point throwing money at crappy bits :P
