Default Stuck in Spain

A lot of people would love to be in my position.. My work took me to Spain last Saturday, and I've just had to adjust my flight home from tomorrow to Friday because of various problems.

However I kinda miss my wife, the hotel is noisy, and my underwear supply is running low.

And to make things worse, my collegue, who I have to work with because he's taking me back to the hotel, is a workaholic and pulls 12 hour days.. That wouldn't be so bad, except unlike him, my job is very brain oriented and takes a lot out of me.. I can manage 8 hours, especially when I'm stuck in a noisy hotel.

So tomorrow I'll be in the office under my own steam..

Sorry, just letting off some steam.. I'm knackered and I need my own bed..

Tell your co-worker, you're only paid for eight hour days......everything else is overtime!

I'm ok.. I just needed to tell someone I was stuck, get it off my chest.. On the plus side, there's great fish restaurants here, and my work pays! Tomorrow I'll leave at 5.30 with the rented car I have.. Go do a bit of the touristy stuff. And I got to Valencia on Sunday and looked around the Palais de arte.. (Or whatever that is in Spanish) which has some incredible architecture.. I hope the acrchitect won an award for that, because it's stunning.

About the underwear, find some "blue soap" on any corner shop and wash them on your toilet, let it dry out during the day and they should be fine.

"Blue soap" is a very old washing solution found by Portuguese, and I presume also Spanish old generations.

Men!! Typical not bringing enough underwear for all emergencies! My husband learnt the hard way to always pack spare ones. He once packed everything and stuck in all in the hold and his suitcase never arrived at the destination . Now he always keeps a spare shirt, wash kit, underwear and socks in his hand luggage.

Hope you get some rest soon.

Colmarino has a point about washing a pair of underwear and hanging them out to dry but I think he means washing them in the bath not toilet though

Oh, right, bathtub is the proper place to wash underwear.
What was I thinking...

Oh I was trying not to let this cat out of the bag but sometimes the whole truth needs to be known...

When I left on Friday (I slept overnight in the Airport for a very early flight Saturday morning) I thought I'd packed everything.. Shirts, spare trousers, extra socks, toothpaste etc etc.. But notice there's something missing from this list..

What I didn't pack was boxershorts.. I mean not a single pair...

The Spanish boxers are either awful or very very expensive.. I haven't found a happy medium. Block your ears if you're squeemish here.. But I had to go commando yesterday and today.. There's only so many times you can wear the same pants before you have to wash them, so I did on Sunday evening, hoping that commando was a one day experience.. but it wasn't and this morning they were still damp..

Oh well, they're dry tonight, so I'm back to normal for a day or two..

And another plus is that there's plenty of new things to photo, so I'll be posting fairly soon.

And people wonder why we go back and forth like kids, it's mental images like this that we can all do without..I'm sure they probably sell banana hammocks in spain!
