RIP Dougal
My Mum just called this afternoon to let me know that my 13 yr old Pug died on the operating table at the vet this morning. He was getting some work done on his teeth, had the drip hooked up and went before they could anesthetize him. I suppose not surpising given his age but unexpected nonetheless. My second old pug gone in 9 months.
  And unfortunately I am stuck here in Christchurch doing cordon duty for another nine days so not even at home, have to tell the kids by phone.

I'm so sorry. Dougal looks like such a sweet companion, ready and willing to please at any given moment. Dogs just don't live long enough.

I'd have that photo framed and hung on the wall and make a little "shrine" or "in memory" area on one of your walls. That's what we did when our cats died. The children helped go through all my photos and picked the best ones.
