Default Welcome text all jumbled up

You know on the top right hand side of the screen you have Welcome and then your username? Well the writing is all jumbled up and I have to go to User CP to click on messages to get my PM's. Does this all make sense?

It's annoying. Everything is fine if I use my son's computer or use my husband's log in. Grrrr. How do I rectify the settings?

No thats all good Rachel, you are just being punished. I don't know why.

Sounds like a driver problem Perhaps you can automatically troubleshoot. I can do this on my HP laptop and desk tops. What computer do you have?

Cheers,

Thanks for the reply Woody! I just have a regular PC. I use firefox don't know if that has anything to do with things. It's not a major life or death situation but it's just irritating. Jim Poor had a similar issue. I might ask him how he got round it or go to the post history and have a rummage.

It's been that way for me for quite some time. I haven't been able to figure it out either.

I'm on a Windows 7 machine using Firefox. The only work around that I have found is to use Firefox's IE Tab. What a pain in the butt!! It works though.

Oh, by the way, it isn't like this on my laptop which is Windows 7 using Firefox set up exactly like my desktop.

I posted something on this quite a while ago. Same problem on my Mac with Firefox.

Looks like this:
