Ideas to sooth the wife?

So... Ok, looks like I have to travel for photography.

Yay? I guess.


Anywhoozle, the wife is letting me go, but that means that I'll be gone an entire weekend while I go to a fancy far off car show. She in turn, wants something from me (like going there and making money for the family wasn't enough...*HARUMFF!*) for taking care of the little tike all weekend.

Anyone got any thoughts on what to do for her to "convince" her to let me go?

She already shot down the "day-at-the-spa" idea and she won't tell me what I can/should do... go figure.

ohhhhhhh my!!!! this could be fun!!!

1. Just so happens I'm free this weekend
2. Didn't you say her car had like 200k worth of miles???
3. Put your foot down and tell her like it is...come on man-up dude!
4. Tell her she doesn't let you go, you're going to lay around all weekend drinking beer and being a slob in general..
5. take the lil tike with you and give her the weekend off! God knows living with you should could probably use some downtime.

OK "surprise" things I have done to maintain wedded bliss.....

1) Spa day for her and a friend (the friend bit's important)

2) A Thames dinner cruise. Champagne, fine food, window table at the front of the boat and music from the onboard band.

3) Tickets for her and my daughter to see Tom Jones, a stay in a hotel overnight in London followed by a lunchtime jazz cruise down the Thames.

4) Swiss watch.

5) Assorted jewelery.

6) The odd surprise weekend in a 5* hotel.

7) Flowers, champagne and chocolates sent to her work.

8) A week in Malta for her and my daughter.

9) A new car.

Now for a weekend away I'd just give her a kiss.
