Default Congratulations William and Catherine

Also known from now on as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge! Watched the wedding and Catherine looked stunning! Brought tears to my eyes. I always blub at weddings. The ceremony itself was very intimate and thoughly moving.

Loved it!!

So did I Rach. It was a bloody good show. Loved it. Someone today here has watched about 12 hours of it. Not me he he.

Am now watching my Sharkies on replay. (they're leading the Bunnies 12-6)

Cheers,

I got sucked in to it too. I watched as much as I could before I left for work. The highlight for me was after they took off in the carriage, and the cameras panned to HM, and Camilla. Seeing the snubbing was priceless!

I've just watched William driving himself and his new bride down the Mall in his fathers Austin Martin with balloon festooned at the back. Even the rear registration plate said "Just Wed" Fabulous!!

No way in hell was I about to get up at 1:00 am to watch them get married. Who care, so what, big friggin deal. Would anyone actually care if it was a member of the blue bloods?

The only thing I though was neat about the about the whole affair, was that Catherine
was a commoner from a small village and not blue blood. Now, maybe their offsprings won't have issues.

Sorry, I don't want to sound rude, but, you might not care where you tax dollars go, but I'd be mad as hell if I had to support the royals lavish lifestyle, especially with the economic situation Britain is in these days.

You do know that this event probably brought in more revenue than was spent out. Right?

Why yes it did. I know for a fact, however, but who benefitted? The general public or shop, hotel, restaurant, and port a potty owners?

What I like about his royal couple is that they are down to earth. William and his brother Harry have always been brought up to live a normal a life as possible within the constraints of being born into a royal institiution. Even as little boys they always had to wait in line at McDonalds along side all the other members of the public. There was no special privaleges for them in those situations.

Catherine is from a small village and both of them have enjoyed a drink and meal down at the local pub just like all the other locals and they already live together in a remote part of North Wales. Everyone that knows them say that what they will bring to the Royal Family is a new lease of life and a fun spontaneous element. They are the spring board to really bring the Royal Family the 21st Century.

Good for them and I wish them all the very best for a long and happy marriage!

Yes, unlike those before William and Harry, "who were raised with a that holier than though attitude." These two brothers are down to earth and I believe they are the ones that'll bring a measure of respect to the royal family.
