Default How did you find this site?

I'm wondering how you came across this site? Was it a general "Digital Photography School" entered into Google that got you here or perhaps a technique you were after that led you here. There is such a wide array of different levels of skill here from the very first photo ever taken digitally to over 30 years plus as a pro!

Please can you share your stories. Mine was that I was thinking maybe there was some kind of on-line course available and Digital Photography School came up on Google. I spent a long time reading the articles on the main Blog before venturing into the realms of the forum and haven't looked back lol!

Over to you.....

I believe mine was a Google search too. When I first started getting more into photography, I started searching things online. I came across DPS and literally sat in front of my laptop with a pencil and notepad, writing down notes on ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speeds. Learning what each one was, what it did, and so on from the tutorials in the Beginner section. After reading thru multiple tutorials here, I realized that there was also a forum. Been here ever since, and I'm not even a member of any other online photography forum, because what I need is right here.

I even find that when there's something else that I want to know about, and I Google it,....if there's something about it on DPS, it's usually one of the first results of the search.

Been so long ago, I can't remember how our paths crossed. But, the rest is history.

Wow Saralonde you must be one of the founding members. I think maybe Nicole was one too. I bet many people have come and gone since then. It's a pity. I miss Preacherman. Don't know what happened to him.

Believe it was the "Life" photo contest that DPS held a while back...
Not sure how I came across the contest, but it led me to this wonderful place!

Many thanks to everyone who makes DPS what it is. (including the curmudgeons and @ssholes, I love all of you).
