popping over to nova scotia in 3 weeks time for first holiday in canada
can anybody give me some tips on places to visit in and around annapolis Royal

Get google earth if you dont have it already and turn on the panoramio layer. You'll see all the local sites and usually a bunch of interesting pictures that folks have taken there. If nothing else, you can turn on street view to see what the area and landscape are like so you can pre plan a little.
