Default Blessed Easter to you all!

Alleluia! Christ is risen!
At the Easter Vigil at our parish last night there were 15 people received into the Catholic Church including 6 baptisms! God is good!

God bless you all!
Lisa

There has been the theory that the shround of turin is actually a photograph of some type, using a Camera Obscura. Possibly even by leonardo DaVinci himself. Of course it wouldnt have been of Jesus, like most things from his era not much is left....But its a cool idea.

My sister has a fridge magnet that always makes me smile. It says "Jesus is coming..... quick look busy!"

Give it another couple of thousand years and we will be celebrating the defeat of Voldemort and giving thanks for our saviour Harry Potter after the Learned Theologians of the day, led by Pope Dumbledor IX, (coincidentally an ex Nazi defender of buggerers of small children), decide that the controversial Gospels According to Rowling (Ancient Prophet), are the true Gospel. Meanwhile there will be the inevitable offshoot religeons such as the Weaslean Chapel etc. Hermione meanwhile shall be known as either The Whore of Griffindor or The Virgin Hermione, depending on your faction and any mention of her will be either punishable by stoning or highly celebrated. Future wars will be fought over this.

Easter Holidays will celebrate Harry rising on his broomstick, a time he won the Quidditch Cup and we will all get chocolate quidditch balls. Jerusalem, renamed Hogwarts by this time, shall remain the holy land as it's more convenient for the rest of humanity, to keep the fighting over there. Harry's birthday will, somewhat conveniently be 25th Dec, which will have become Pottermas day, and cards will be sent to one another, showing a Hippo in a santa outfit, with the greeting Happy Pottermus.

The Motto for Potterianity will be; 'Is est verus quoniam Inquam sic' Translated as; This is true since I say so.

The gospels according to Rowling sound good. That's a religion I could get behind. If you're going to pick your mythology, at least make it fun! Merry Pottermas!

I did think it funny all the kids celebrated Christmas, although there was really no other mention of any religion in the movies. They accepted magic as coming from the natural world, not some godly or satanic. Really cool way to deal with it.

And great cinematography.
