G'day Pete and welcome to DPS.

I don't know much about Sony cameras but I've heard they have a good reputation. Good luck with your photography.

By the way, I don't think you won it. You may have been highest bidder, but you do have to pay.

Cheers,

John W

I have an A230 and love it! You probably got it at a good price although I dont know how that translates to American dollars. What 2 lenses did you get with it? About a year and a half ago I paid $350 for the A230, it came with the 18-55 kit lens. I bought a Minolta 75-300 off e-bay for $65, its not bad, should've got the 'beer can' tho. Also have a couple of old Pentax lenses that I use on the Sony (with adapter) and an old Tamron 80-210 with a 2X TC. I thought about selling the Pentax lenses but they are really awesome.

I think you will be happy with the Sony, they are easy to learn and take a decent photo.
