Default Ok... I'm non-violent...but...

.... when stuff like this happens to people like this.... I'm not 100% against it.

My faith in humanity restored , cheers!

And hell, I'm not opposed to violence. I will bash and slowly torture any child molesters on this planet if given the chance. Without regret.

I wonder if this is going to be another one of those popcorn-required threads.......

The page you linked to locked up on me, but I did read another article about it.

I don't dig beating people down for any reason, but the towtrucks not being available until after the funeral because they were stranded with their van being broken down, and the being taken in for questioning about a "crime" they may have been involved in, which lasted just long enough to get the funeral out of the way, I can get behind.

Those people (WBC) are absolutely sick. The whole family is apparently made up of lawyers and their main source of income appears to be money won in lawsuits against people who have physically attacked them. I guess they'll be in the red for this particular trip though. HA!!

Agree 100%. I'm not an "ends justify the means" guy, so the beating part rubs me the wrong way. But, as to the rest of what they did, good for the people of Brandon. Creative!

Firstly, I can't stand Phelps and his cronies. They're ridiculous, attention-seeking lunatics. I think the way the community handled it was hilarious (not the beating part, but the other stuff).

HOWEVER, to me, this one toes the line on infringing FA rights. It's nothing they couldn't have done on the up-and-up with reasonable time/manner/place restrictions (completely permissible per SCOTUS). Say ... protestors must be in designated areas at least 1000 yards from the funeral home, church, procession and cemetery; signs must be 1 square foot or smaller?

P.S. if I was traveling on business, and happened to be from Kansas, I'd be pretty pissed.

Good point. Too much to think about sometimes.
