Default Yay for new toys!!

Finally got me a new tripod and a polarizing filter. I was so excited to use both. The tripod makes a world of difference when all the parts of it move when theyre supposed to, and stay put when theyre supposed to. And doesn't wobble, or rattle. I don't worry about my camera sitting in this one so much. I can still use the old one for a light stand though.

After discovering that my UV filter really didnt do jack except make my photos soft, I got a Polarizer. I'm in love with this thing! It's got the ring on the end that you can turn to change the effect. My photos have the saturation that they did with the point and shoot. I'm loving it! I'm wondering why I didnt get one before. All these combined with my new remote release, and I'm gear happy for the moment. All I want now is a lens that can reach farther. Thats a bit more than a new tripod and a new filter though.

Just had to share.

Yay! Love my polarising filter too, great for all those awesome sunny days.
I just bought myself a new lens, a 50mm f1.8, I hadn't been doing much photography lately but now I'm taking my camera with me again - enjoying trying out the new lens. Yay for new toys!

Good for you! I can't wait to get my CPL in mail! I have at least two more weeks to wait.

I bought my camera a few days ago...

Drove to the shop, sun was splitting the skies. Spent half an hour discussing camera options, settled on the Pentax K-r and negotiated a free polarising filter (yay!). Anxious to get started, I stepped outside and headed back to the car and it started raining! That was three days ago and the weather has been awful since!

New stuff is great but why does it always rain on me?

Maybe a few small children but no cats. Do children count?

It never ends, does it? There's always something else to buy as you build your kit.

I have a list almost as long as my arm of stuff I'd like to get. One day...
