Question Metaphor Challenge

Smartipants started a thread called Photographing Metaphors... At least a few of us found that interesting, and the suggestion was made by PnwGuy to start up a challenge. So, here it is.

Rules:
 • Post one picture of a metaphor/idiom/proverb without telling us what it is (I've broadened it from just metaphors since I think it'll be even more fun).
 • People try to guess what the metaphor etc. is. Once your metaphor etc. has been guessed, edit the subject line of your post to reflect it, and put the metaphor etc into the body of the post near the picture so that we know which ones have been guessed.
 • If you want to put a guessing time limit on before you tell us what it is, go right ahead. I'll leave that one up to you
 • If there is already a picture up for people to guess, please wait until it is guessed to post your shot. So One Picture At A Time (please )
 • If the person who successfully guesses doesn't want to put up a new picture, they can say PASS to let others who want to post a picture know that they can.
 • The most important rule of all: Have fun!!
Some helpful links:I don't have a picture at the moment, so I'm hoping that one of the people who expressed interest in the other thread (or anyone else for that matter) will start us out Good guessing everyone!

Shy, huh? OK, proverb (I looked it up) about relationships:

DontMix

11:12 PM PnwGuy guessed correctly: "Oil and water don't mix"

Well, it looks like an oil spot with water or something on it so I'm going to guess that "Oil and water don't mix"

PS, I'm working on one that I'll post soon.

Woohoo Glad to see you started it off Jim, and good guessing PnwGuy I have an excuse for not posting a picture this morning aside from not having one, I was about 5 minutes from being out the door. So now I'll have to work on one, otherwise it'll look bad if I don't participate in my own thread

Oh! A stitch in time (saves nine)?

Even if I'm not right... Here's another pretty simple one:

Like Water off a Duck's Back (guessed by wulf)

Nicole,

Thank heavens . . . I was afraid it might be "Your goose is cooked."

Another proverb. Bonus points if you come up with 2 different proverbs for this.
