I exclusively shoot RAW on my 15.1mp Canon 50D. Each photo is about 18mb. Storage is a non-issue these days.
Even when shooting a high-volume event or something I still shoot RAW because it means I can correct any exposure issues and whatnot that arises when shooting fast paced / changing light condition things. |

RAW is epic!
But I use jpg in my photobooth as they print instantly and come out like 4 photos on one 6x4 sheet.

It depends. If I'm shooting something for work I might use both. The jpg might be passable without needing to correct white balance and such, and then I don't have to go home and mess with it, it's just plug and upload.
If I'm on a trip or something i used to use both, just so my wife wouldn't have to wait on me to get all serious with the pics. She just wants to upload to facebook and show the family Disney or the beach. Now that I have an iPad and sd reader, I can shoot in raw only pretty much all the time, as it will natively process canon raw files into jpgs. I have a few photo programs on it. Of course the real stuff is on my pc, but in a pinch im good on a trip.

Depends for me.. I prefer RAW, but RAW *requires* post work....there are many times I *know* I can get a picture to meet the requirements SOOC and then it's Jpeg.
If I had a lot of deadlines etc I'd probably shoot both. Right now I choose the one most suitable to the task. Usually RAW, but not always.

RAW.... gives you a digital negative with much more information to work with.

I only shoot in RAW, I just love the advantages it gives you and I need something to do on the comp after the kids go to bed.

If you can handle the volume, shooting both RAW and JPG lets you compare what the camera did and what you did. You have both versions. Sometimes, the camera does some tweaks that are nice.
(but you still have to PP on both occasions...)
