WOW

As far as I can see, it wasn't posted to YouTube on 1 April but I have to admit to a slight degree of scepticism. In fact, look at the Invisible Camera website and follow the link for field testers, where some more information is given.

Hmmm.. Ok, so this is a "Directionally desensitised" film. And you're talking about 1/500 ISO..

Then, you're talking about being able to get the capture speeds up to 1/100,000 of a second..

So how would that work? You've a highly sensitive paper with incredibly high resolution that you can handle in broad daylight, but have to put inside a special "polorised" box that you can see through in all directions. Daylight arrives in all directions, so you're looking at exposing the film to light from the direction it's sensitive to..

Maybe it wasn't April 1st, but it still smells fishy to me!

I think this quote from Wulf's link may be a subtle clue

"As much as we ourselves wish it were, the Invisible Camera is not real."

Obviously fake

My favorite part is where he explains the film can be handled in daylight because it only reacts to light at a specific angle. If you hold the film out in your room right now light would strike it from every conceivable angle thus exposing it.

Default Amazing

That's freaking hilarious.

He didn't want to make anything like a gimmick such as HDR or 3D!

The subtle little burns are found all over the place. This is an awesome video.

Thanks for sharing here

HAHA that's awesome. The only part believable is a see-through case

On the other hand, $50 says we get something like that but better by 2050

heres the follow up video

that just proves, all you need to convince people something is true is get a german engineer to babble about it and have a cool video made.

it almost got me.. until they mentioned the shutter speed at that ISO, and then he's waving the FILM around talking about Terapixels.. LMAO
