Default exif extraction tool?

what way or means would y'all advise as a way to extract exif data from a raw file?

I googled your question and there was a consensus among the 5-10 responses on the issue that it can't be done, while maintaining it as a RAW file.

Out of curiosity, why would you want to remove the EXIF info? Privacy?

I think he means how to acquire the exif data from a RAW file

I think the OP meant "Obtain" the EXIF data, so they could add it below their posts. I use "Photo Me" which is a photo editor, and yes, it can also edit (and therefore delete) EXIF data from both Sony ARW and Nikon NEF RAW files, so the consensus is incorrect. EXIF data in RAW files are editable without needing to be converted into another format.

Interesting. I assumed, obviously incorrectly, that he wanted to remove it rather than view it. I'll check out Photo Me, though I don't think I'll need to actually edit any EXIF data.

yup...what I meant by extract was some way to copy it so I could paste it here..

there's plenty of ways I've found to few it but precious few to copy....raw or jpeg...


I'll take a look at photo me though..thanks guys
