Default How to get Photoshop CS 5 for $90 (Yes it is 100% legal)

Sorry, but this is only for photographers who work for faith based agencies, non profit organizations, schools, etc

There is an organization called TechSoup (TechSoup - The Technology Place For Nonprofits ) They receive donated software from Microsoft, Adobe and others big companies. In turn they donate the software to non profit groups, schools, etc.

You must register your organization with them, and go through the application process (it involves sending your 501 C(3) certification, State Tax exempt, etc) Once you receive the approval you can then order the products paying only a small administrative fee.

Here are some of the software they have:
Photoshop CS 5 Extended $90
LightRoom 3 $30
Adobe Creative Suite (includes PS CS5, LR 3, After Effect, Premier, etc) $150

They also have Windows 7 and other MS products at only a fraction of the cost.

So if anyone works for a non profit agency, take advantage of this

I thought you could also get an education licence from adobe. We looked into it but need proof from my son's school that he is at school if that makes sense.

CS5 for £135 Move over Dom....

Still waiting for THAT letter from my son 's school.

Not sure about the UK, but here in the States a copy of a report card suffices.

Currently $169.99 on Amazon. I'm still working on finding someone with a valid school ID.

The education discount is also for teachers... Are you friendly enough with one of your sons (or any other) teacher that they would buy it for you?
