Liked and voted! good idea to have user friends encouraged to vote thats should drum up some "likes" I worked with a travel agency in a contest, they gave away a 7 day all expences paid trip to florida, the catch was to enter you had to recommend 12 friends and supply your name, email, phone, ect..they went from 50 fans to 2500 in 2 weeks. so yes it cost them the trip , but in the end they retained 2500 names address, phones numbers for future marketing...a good example whole social media marketing can work for you if done correctly. done babbling

Have you read upon FB's new rules for promotions? They are pretty draconian.

I'll check it out! I have had iffy internet connection at home the past couple O' days, so I haven't been able to be on FB much.

Unless I'm not getting it, you're violating this rule right off:

You may require that an entrant like a Page, check in to a Place, or connect to your Platform integration before providing their full entry information for a promotion. You will not condition entry to the promotion upon taking any other action on Facebook, for example, liking a status update or photo, commenting on a Wall, or uploading a photo.

Now, personally, I don't give a hoot, but I'd hate to see the page shut down over something silly.

Apparently I am having issues because I read all of that and none of that connected in my brain until you pointed it out. I certainly don't want my page shut down. I searched for an app but they are all complicated or NOT FREE. I have seen a dozen dozen different types of contests come across my feed, probably just in the past week or so that I didn't pay much attention to.....I need to look some of those up and see what app they use.

I was thinking that this would probably be the best option. However, I am going to let this one ride out and hope for the best. ugh.
